Established in 1974 as a centralized hospital laundry and linen service, HLS Linen Services has expanded to provide linen and laundry service to acute care hospitals, long term care, rehabilitation centers, mental health facilities and hospitality customers throughout many regions of Ontario, including Ottawa, Cornwall, Smiths Falls, Perth, Kingston, Belleville, Oshawa, North Bay, Barrie, Collingwood, Georgian Bay,and Toronto, as well as in Western Quebec.

HLS Linen Services provides cost effective linen service within a state-of-the-art 185,000 square foot facility, opened in April 2007, which processes over 60 million pounds of clean linen each year to over 100 facilities throughout Ontario and Quebec including hospitals and long-term care facilities.

A second state-of-the-art facility was opened in Woodbridge, Ontario in January 2019 to service the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario. 

HLS prides itself on its quality control program and infection control programs.  HLS is a leader in the industry.  HLS has a customer fill rate of 99.9%  which has been maintained for the past twenty years. 

As recognized industry leaders in North America, HLS staff and management are highly trained and committed to adhering to the highest health and safety standards in addition to processing, finishing, and delivery efficiencies that are second to none.

Ole Carlsen, an international benchmarking consultant, has benchmarked HLS as one of the top two most efficient laundries globally based on visits to 700+ laundries throughout the world. Mr. Carlsen has also referred to HLS as "the best laundry in North America and one of the best in the world".

HLS Linen Services is also ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. It is one of the few laundries in Canada, to be accredited under the Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC), and it is TRSA Clean Green Certified.
