The Hoboken Historical Museum is a small nonprofit organization in Hoboken, New Jersey, focused on documenting the city's physical and cultural heritage with local, regional, and national significance. It collects, preserves, and interprets artifacts and oral histories to serve residents and others who value Hoboken's history, and it provides resources such as historical walking-tour maps and a map of significant sites in Frank Sinatra's life in Hoboken, along with Hoboken-themed merchandise (including books, apparel, mugs, and prints). The museum operates six days a week with hours that accommodate visitors and charges an admission of $4, and it is housed in one of the oldest buildings on the Hoboken waterfront. Founded in 1986 as a 501c3 nonprofit, the institution also staffs the Hoboken Fire Department Museum on weekends to broaden access to local history. In 2024 the museum received the Library Champion Award, underscoring its ongoing engagement with the community and libraries.
