Hofsommer Excavating Inc. is a small excavating company specializing in horizontal 
boring of all types and sizes. We have been in business since 1972, in Las Vegas since 
1989 and have proudly become the local horizontal boring company of choice because 
of our reputation. 
 
We offer the following specialized services:

• Auger jack & bore 
• Pneumatic piercing 
• Hydro-Vacuum excavation 
• Light demolition

• Hoe-Ram 
 
We are capable of jack & bores of steel casing from 8” up to 84” in diameter. 
 
Our specialized equipment and capabilities have been used for all kinds of utility and 
building projects such as the power feeder crossing of I-15 for City Center, power feeder 
for McCarran Airport Terminal 3, and many other high profile crossing projects across 
every part of the Las Vegas valley. 
 
We have bored under NDOT streets, highways, Interstates, drainage structures, and 
railroads hundreds of times since coming to Las Vegas. 
We also have Hydro-Vactor trucks, mini excavators, and backhoe/loaders available for 
sign footing excavation or daylighting/locating of existing utilities.
