At Holiday Express we believe no one should be alone during the holidays. Our mission of delivering the gift of human kindness to those who need it most has grown beyond our wildest dreams. Holiday Express works year-round to deliver music, food, gifts, and human kindness to adults and children who are often forgotten, including the mentally and physically challenged, veterans, the isolated, individuals in addiction and recovery programs, underserved populations, and children with serious illnesses. This year, we will celebrate our 29th Anniversary by visiting 100 organizations located in New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York City bringing hope and joy to over 27,000 people.  

While most of us look forward to the holidays with excitement and anticipation, the months of November and December are anything but joyful or peaceful for some. The holidays for those struggling with financial issues, health, and loneliness can be a time of increased sadness, and stress. This is often the case for the people Holiday Express serves. 

Mobility issues and financial restraints makes it difficult for most of our guests to attend an off campus cultural event. Holiday Express travels to them, providing a professional level experience; an interactive holiday program led by a team of trained musicians, a delicious meal, fun holiday activities, and a gift bag – a well-stocked canvas duffel bag of brand new, useful and practical items, including a warm blanket, toiletries, gloves, and hat.

Founded in 1993 by musician and restaurateur Tim McLoone, Holiday Express is a non-sectarian, non-profit organization whose mission is to deliver music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
