We are the largest independent supplier of elevator equipment in America. Founded in 1899 by Edward Everett Hollister and joined by Frank H. Whitney in 1906, Hollister-Whitney started as a family business and today, we are a major supplier of elevator equipment world-wide.

Our headquarters, research, engineering and manufacturing facilities are located near the banks of the Mississippi River in Quincy, Illinois. Our location at the geographic center of North America optimizes receipt of raw materials and shipping finished products.

With 360,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 300 skilled machinists, welders and assemblers we are well suited to meet market demands and customized applications. 

We invent and manufacture solutions for the vertical transportation industry. Our research, development, design and manufacturing capabilities provide our world-wide network of  elevator contractors with the highest quality products.

We take pride in our extensive line of  elevator hoist machines for gearless and geared applications. Our product line also consists of  elevator platforms, slings, safeties, guides, governors, buffers, equipment guarding, and our patented Rope Gripper systems.
