HomeAid Houston is a small nonprofit charity based in Houston, Texas, established in 2003 and sponsored by the Greater Houston Builders Association. It expands capacity for homelessness services by linking long-term care providers with builders, vendors and suppliers who donate time, materials and labor to construct transitional shelters. In addition to building facilities, the organization acts as a housing developer and coordinates among care providers serving a range of homeless populations, such as women in crisis pregnancies, domestic violence survivors, abused children and others.
