LIFESTYLE INFLUENCER, AUTHOR, ENTREPRENEUR HONEY GOOD: VOICE OF WOMEN OVER 50, in THE NY TIMES

As a lifestyle influencer/blogger, author and entrepreneur, Susan “Honey” Good serves as an influential voice for women over 50 around the world. In her authentic, inspirational storytelling and her Ask Honey column on the award-winning HoneyGood.com, named a "top baby boomer blog," women find echoes of their own experiences. Honey's numerous heartaches and over-the-top joys mirror their own. HoneyGood.com is a community where Honey and her tens of thousands of readers interact, share, offer each other support and celebrate life after 50.
IN HER OWN WORDS
I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, mother-in-law, girlfriend and grandmother to 25, who affectionately call me Honey. I'm also a woman in my seventies who doggedly pursued my new writing passion in my late sixties after several frightening bouts with cancer and widowhood in my forties. I’ve endured financial hardships, the horror of suicide in my family, the challenges of a blended family… and more. At heart, I'm a survivor – multiple times over!

When you look at me now, it might seem like I'm just a very lucky girl, full of gratitude for my blessed and wonderful life. But what I have is the result of the way I have chosen to embrace life, day after day. Just like everybody else, I've experienced the bitter and the sweet, tremendous joys and equally great sorrows.

Yet, I'm still standing strong. And I feel more beautiful and visible than ever because of it.

I've learned that if I accept life on life’s terms and commit to making the most of whatever it throws at me, I can overcome anything. Moreover, so can you! That thought can give us great power, especially as we age.

Through HoneyGood.com and our GRANDWomen with Moxie community as well as my book, "Stories for My Grandchild," published by Abrams, NY, I show other women over 50 how to keep taking a big bite out of life with humor, grace and style.
