Started in 2005, HoodFilters.com was born in the kitchen of a restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska. The owner, also a food distribution veteran, was frustrated by how difficult it was to find replacement filters for his hood system. He eventually found the filters, but they were overpriced and took weeks to receive. Recognizing a potential opportunity, he talked to other restaurant owners and found that he wasn't alone. The solution was right there: build a user-friendly website that made it faster and more affordable to purchase hood filters.

Since then, HoodFilters.com has grown to serve restaurants, schools, hotels, food service operations and service providers across the contiguous United States. What began with a small selection of hood filters has expanded into a broad catalog of commercial kitchen ventilation products, including filters, accessories, rooftop grease containment systems, and hood cleaning supplies.
