Hope Against Trafficking is a nonprofit organization in Southeast Michigan that provides safe housing and restorative support for adult female survivors of sex and labor trafficking. Its flagship program, Magdalene Detroit, offers a 24-month, rent-free residential experience with comprehensive services aimed at physical, mental, and economic transformation, beginning with a welcoming home environment and trauma-informed therapy. The organization serves survivors referred by law enforcement, social service groups, correctional facilities, and street outreach programs, addressing cycles of exploitation, addiction, and coercion and supporting their transition toward independence. Based in Pontiac, Michigan, the group operates within the individual and family services sector and positions itself as a pioneering program in the region dedicated to long-term healing and empowerment for survivors. A recent development noted is a donation-supported expansion that enabled the acquisition of two minivans to support its operations, reflecting ongoing community partnerships and service delivery efforts.
