At least 5.4million children are currently separated from their families, shut away inside orphanages, even though 80% are not orphans. Orphanages expose these children to abuse, trafficking, and physical and psychological trauma that can last a lifetime. By working with families, communities, local authorities and governments, we’ve helped get thousands of children out of orphanages and back to family.
