Hope Chicago is a higher-education organization based in Chicago, Illinois, founded in 2021. It operates a two-generation economic mobility initiative designed to remove barriers to postsecondary education for families connected to Chicago Public Schools, partnering with five high schools on the city’s South and West Sides. The program supports both students and their parents by offering opportunities to earn valuable postsecondary or workforce credentials without significant debt, aiming to transform higher-education outcomes for low-income, first-generation families. Through collaborations with Illinois-based institutions, Hope Chicago seeks to build a scalable model that can be expanded to improve education and economic opportunities across the state and beyond. In addition to advancing access to education, the organization engages in programs that support parents and guardians of Hope Scholars, reflecting an integrated approach to family-based mobility and community impact.
