Hoppin’ Frog Brewery is a small Akron-based craft brewery focused on delivering highly flavorful beers through careful ingredient selection and meticulous brewing. A specially designed JV Northwest brewing system enables greater barley inclusion, helping to intensify beer flavor. The company also uses a specialized bottling line designed to preserve freshness and extend storage, aiding retention of character in its beer styles.

Founded in 2006 by Fred Karm, a long-time Akron resident and experienced brewmaster, Hoppin’ Frog has earned medals at major competitions and distributes to 18 states and 40 foreign countries. In January 2024, it launched Zips Hoppin’ Blonde Ale in collaboration with the University of Akron Athletics Department.
