Global shipping niche Horizon Auto Shipping operates as an ocean freight forwarder and non-vessel-operating common carrier with customs brokerage and domestic motor carrier brokerage, indicating a full-service international and cross-border shipping capability that can be positioned for expanded overseas trade opportunities and bundled logistics solutions.

Small but experienced With a lean team and a long-standing presence since 1992, Horizon combines specialized industry knowledge with agility, suggesting opportunities for personalized service offerings, premium support packages, and targeted expansions into high-margin routes that benefit from dedicated account management.

Mid-market alignment Revenue size places Horizon between lower-volume brokers and larger integrators, creating a sweet spot for mid-market shippers seeking reliable, cost-efficient cross-border transport, customs clearance, and end-to-end logistics—potential for value-based pricing and scalable service add-ons.

Tech stack leverage Current technologies include WordPress, MySQL, Google Analytics, and maps integrations, which can support enhanced digital lead generation, online quotes, and customer portal enhancements to improve conversion, retention, and transparency in shipping timelines.

Competitive positioning Compared to larger peers, Horizon’s regional focus in Houston with global capabilities presents an opportunity to target importers/exporters in automotive, boat, and RV sectors, offering bundled compliance, brokerage, and freight services to win larger, long-term, multi-shipment contracts.
