Hosfelt Gallery is a contemporary art space with a focus on showcasing exceptional artists from around the world and fostering careers through critically rigorous programming. Founded in 1996 in San Francisco by Todd Hosfelt, the gallery relocated multiple times before settling in a 9,000-square-foot, skylit complex in DoReMi, an arts district in San Francisco, and operates a second venue that previously expanded to New York City. The gallery emphasizes innovative work connected to social, political, and cultural histories, and has established itself through transforming industrial spaces into distinctive exhibition environments that respond to the surrounding context. It also established the first Digital Media Conservation Lab in 2015 to address preservation needs for digital and electronic art, reflecting a commitment to preserving contemporary media within its program. Hosfelt Gallery serves collectors, institutions, and enthusiasts seeking ambitious, non-trend-driven contemporary art and has represented a range of internationally notable and Bay Area artists over more than two decades.
