Hostelling International (HI) is a non-governmental, not-for profit charity based in the UK, representing 58 member associations from all over the world. It is the world’s largest youth membership organisation, it is recognised by UNESCO (United National Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation) and Affiliate Member of the UNWTO. HI is the only global network of youth hostel associations. Its 3.3 million members are offered a choice of more than 2,500 hostels, all meeting internationally agreed assured standards in order to guarantee the guests a great experience at all hostels.
