So, to write about one's own venture, I believe, is to be somewhat pretentious, or ego driven in some way or another. "I am great. I like the best stuff. You haven't even heard of the bands I listen to. I eat specialty cheese, and crackers that cost $8 a box, and so on. That stuff simply drives me nuts, and /or bonkers. So, as not to toot our own horns, we'd prefer to use a few articles written by outside, unsolicited sources, that seem to painlessly capture what the Hotel Cafe is all about... Oh, we were voted The Best Music Venue in LA by Citysearch editors in 2006. Paste Magazine listed us as one of Americas Top 40 Music Venues.... So thats kind of neat... toot... toot... LA Times calls us ground zero for singer/songwriters. And everyone (but one guy) who comments on Yelp likes us, too!
