House of Lolo is a retail brand based in Portland, Oregon, founded in 2011 in the Pearl District. It curates a carefully edited collection presented in a small boutique setting intended to offer a personalized shopping experience and foster a sense of community among like-minded customers. The shop’s name derives from founder Laurie Moulton’s childhood nickname, Lolo; in 2019 a second flagship opened at The Shops on El Paseo in Palm Desert, California, expanding into home décor and furnishings through a merger with Lolo Interiors, a design business started in 2015.
During the pandemic, the Portland location shifted to online operations, enabling customers to shop the collection from anywhere. A small team of female entrepreneurs leads the business, emphasizing design and building meaningful relationships with clients, the community, and makers. The organization sits in the retail and home décor space, with ongoing collaboration between House of Lolo and Lolo Interiors.
