The Houses of the Oireachtas is Ireland's national parliament, the legislative and oversight institution of the state, based at Leinster House in Dublin, Leinster. It comprises two chambers, Dáil Éireann and Seanad Éireann, whose roles and powers derive from the 1937 Constitution. The body holds the exclusive authority to initiate and pass laws, with Dáil Éireann occupying primacy in the parliamentary life and general elections for the Seanad following dissolution of the Dáil within 90 days. Each chamber establishes its standing orders and penalties for breaches, while both houses examine and critique government policy and administration.

In December 2022, the Oireachtas began collaborating with AsIAm to make the Leinster House complex more accessible for autistic people.
