The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance (HBTF) is a Jordanian bank based in Amman with between 1,001 and 5,000 employees. It was established in 1973 as a public shareholding limited company focused initially on housing finance, giving rise to its name. After about two decades, it expanded into full-service commercial banking and has since grown its capital base. HBTF has earned international credit ratings from Moody's, Standard & Poor's, Fitch and Capital Intelligence, and has received multiple awards including Bank of the Year – Jordan from The Banker in 2003, 2011 and 2013 and from Euromoney in 2007. In 2026 the bank launched the Iskan Business electronic banking platform for companies, formed partnerships with organizations such as the King Hussein Cancer Center and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation, and partnered with ProgressSoft to upgrade its payments network.
