Founded in 2001, The Energy Corridor District works with local, regional and national entities to help make The Energy Corridor one of the nation's most desirable places to live and work.

Covering more than 2,000 acres, The District provides long-range urban planning, landscape design and public space improvements; multimodal transportation solutions to alleviate traffic congestion; enhancements for safe pedestrian and bicycle travel; sourcing and securing funding and grants; police patrols and public safety programs; business development support; and ongoing communication to stakeholders about news, issues and events. 

Located in West Houston along Interstate 10 from Barker Cypress to Kirkwood and extending south along Eldridge Parkway to Briar Forest, The Energy Corridor District offers high-quality, attractive neighborhoods, first-class hotels, world-class healthcare, convenient retail and well-performing schools.

Residents and employees alike enjoy more than 50 miles of trails and a 26,000-acre playground of parks, natural areas, sporting fields and picnic areas. The District helped create the West Houston Trails Master Plan, which seeks to nearly double the miles of trails.
