Situated on the edge of the Pennines, and perfectly placed for students from either Kirklees or Calderdale, Huddersfield New College is a specialist sixth form college which caters exclusively for young people in the 16-19 age range. The college offers courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3, and are the only college in West Yorkshire to allow students to study a mix of both A Level and BTEC qualifications. The college is one of the most successful and inclusive Sixth Form Colleges in the country and attract an increasing number of students each year, with over 2,400 students on roll at the beginning of the 2014-15 academic year. Exam results in August 2014 were the best since the college became a Sixth Form in 1974, with a 99% pass rate for A Levels and vocational A Levels. As a dedicated sixth form college, which caters exclusively for 16-19 year olds, we offer: High Academic Standards. A very wide choice of subjects at advanced, intermediate and foundation level so that you can choose the combination of subjects that is just right for you.
