HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology is a nonprofit biotechnology research institute located at 601 Genome Way, Huntsville, Alabama. Founded in 2008, its work focuses on developing and applying scientific advances in health, agriculture, learning, and commercialization, and it employs roughly 201 to 500 people. The organization operates a 152-acre campus within Cummings Research Park that co-locates nonprofit researchers with entrepreneurs and educators. HudsonAlpha has become a national and international leader in genetics and genomics research and biotech education, and it hosts more than 45 diverse biotech companies on campus. The institute pursues partnerships and outreach programs, including a Fall 2025 AgTech Accelerator launched in partnership with gener8tor, collaborations with The Land Institute, and the development of HudsonAlpha Wiregrass in Dothan.
