Hughes Environmental Engineering is one of the oldest and largest mechanical service providers in the metropolitan New York area.  Originally founded in 1935 by Frank W. Hughes and his son Richard, the company is currently run by Frank N. Hughes, CEO and William D. Glynn, President.  Brian C. Hughes is the fourth generation owner and is Executive Vice President.

Hughes specializes in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating, Energy Management, and other specialty services for commercial and industrial facilities.  Typical clients include office buildings, manufacturing, food processing and distribution, warehouses, retail, and data centers.  The company has a fully staffed Engineering Department to handle complex HVAC and refrigeration design applications, and also a highly technical and experienced service department providing 24/7 preventive and emergency repair service to its clients.  

Hughes is noted within the industry for its technical training and expanded educational offerings for staff members.  Senior company leaders serve on Advisory Councils of multiple vocational technical schools, and all field service staff serve a 5 year apprenticeship through the United Association (www.uanj.org).  Operations and Sales staff typically train though Service Professional Group (www.spgroup.org) and the Mechanical Service Contractors Association of America (www.msca.org).
