The Human Resources Authority seeks to adopt the latest global concepts and practices in Human Capital Management, with an aim to effectively govern human capital within Abu Dhabi’s public sector, and elevate HR systems in an integral, competitive, and comprehensive manner. The HRA is also responsible for enhancing cabilities of the Abu Dhabi public sector, and the participation of UAE nationals in the workforce. Since its inception in 2015, The HRA has been mandated with the primary responsibility for formulating and developing a general and unified policy for human resources in the public sector; creating and proposing laws, standards and policies; setting HR and Emiratization plans and strategies; and adopting systems, programs and projects with the aim to manage human resources efficiently and effectively. All of these actions are taken with the goal of reducing any disparity in the application of HR methodologies and processes within local government institutions, and to improve their performance in alignment with sustainable development aspirations. All the while building on HRA’s values of discipline, integration, empowerment, professionalism and innovation to provide quality services to employees and customers alike in support of the vision and objectives of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
