Many churches are not engaged in international partnerships, for a variety of reasons; bad experiences in the past, the tyranny of local ministry demands, lack of qualified volunteers or staff to administrate teams, etc. Hungry For Life (HFL) seeks to solve for those issues by coming alongside churches of any size and acting as their missions department; we vet international partners for long term engagement, administrate all things related to short term teams, lead teams and manage project activity. We raise our operating budget and staff support, making most of our services free and allowing 100% of project funding from churches to go to their projects. HFL believes that the heart of the north American believer is just as important as the starving child overseas, and that when you enable the local church to be the primary agent in wholistic Kingdom activity, both sides of that equation are addressed. International ministry provides spiritual formation opportunities that are hard to get elsewhere, and with so many spiritual, financial and physical gifts within north American church congregations, a significant impact towards global poverty can be made when a higher degree of mobilization is reached. We aim to catalyze people and resources for the benefit of everyone involved; spiritual and physical flourishing for the glory of God.
