24-7, 365 days of the year, Hunterdon Helpline's First Assist hotline is your first call for help anytime for any need, emergency or crisis.

Hunterdon Helpline began 48 years ago as a teen hotline. Now it answers calls from anyone about any need, providing the connection to appropriate programs and services throughout the community and beyond. Over these four decades, Helpline has evolved to where it is today: a 24-hour helpline answering the needs of at-risk populations trying to navigate the  and find answers to their life challenges.

In addition to First Assist, Helpline has a variety of programs and services to assist with non-emergent needs that address family, education, health and employment needs. Collaborating with other  area organizations, government agencies and even for-profits, Helpline links these opportunities for wrap-around services to provide the most holistic solution to clients' challenges.
