onstruction and the Nauman name have been synonymous for many generations, dating back to the early 1800’s, when farming was the business of the day. As a result of a physical accident, Peter S. Nauman turned to the carpentry business, where his extra-ordinary talent became evident in his work.

In those days, carpentry meant long days, staying at the job site for the entire week and heavy physical labor. Wood was cut in nearby saw mills, stored to air dry, then hauled to the building site by a hearty team of horses. Six generations have witnessed quite a change in the building industry. Peter, Henry, Milton, Henry W., Glenn and Dennis Nauman have each impacted what Nauman stands for today.

Current President and Chief Executive Officer Gerald S. Breneman accepted the baton for the 21st century in 1992.

Surrounded by a staff of highly committed and knowledgeable people, Nauman continues to evolve into one of the premiere construction and cabinetry companies in Central Pennsylvania.
