Hyde Square Task Force is a Jamaica Plain–based nonprofit in the education administration sector that focuses on empowering youth through Afro-Latin arts, education and career pathways, and civic engagement. Its programs, including Jóvenes en Acción and College Success, engage hundreds of young people annually and extend its impact to the broader community through arts education and neighborhood revitalization efforts in Boston’s Latin Quarter. The organization targets youth in grades 8–12 and college students, addressing challenges such as poverty, violence, and educational attainment by providing after-school and summer programming, mentorship, and ongoing coaching. Founded in 1991 by local neighbors and community leaders, HSTF operates with a mission to amplify youth voices and foster a just, equitable city through creative placemaking and community organizing, supported by a regional footprint that reaches thousands of community members each year.
