Iberdrola Australia operates in renewable energy power generation in Australia, owning wind farms in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia, and also sourcing renewable capacity from third-party projects under its Capital Lite strategy. It augments the intermittency of these renewables by firming them through the Smithfield Open Cycle Gas Turbine facility in Western Sydney and a 25 MW/52 MWh battery at Lake Bonney, South Australia. The company provides clean, reliable and competitively priced energy solutions to customers.

Iberdrola Australia holds energy retailing licences across the National Electricity Market regions of Queensland, New South Wales (including the Australian Capital Territory), Victoria and South Australia. Based in Sydney, New South Wales, the company is a mid-sized operator that engages with local communities. In May 2026, Iberdrola Australia, alongside Squadron Energy and CS Energy, announced a joint commitment to upgrade a Telstra telecommunications tower at Broadsound to improve local internet and communications access.
