IBEW Local 613 is a local chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, based in Atlanta. It administers a jurisdiction spanning 59 counties in Georgia and Alabama, with members who work in construction and manufacturing. It is the largest Local in the IBEW Fifth District and traces its charter to October 25, 1919. Over the decades, its membership has grown to more than five thousand, reflecting broad participation in regional projects such as facilities built for the 1996 Summer Olympics. The Local serves as a workforce provider for electrical trades across north Georgia and parts of Alabama, supporting a range of construction and manufacturing projects. Members have contributed to notable sites in the region, including Mercedes Benz Stadium, Bank of Georgia, Emory University Hospital, Ponce City Market, and Plant Bowen. In May 2023, National Grid announced a partnership involving IBEW Local 613 to collaborate on a regional project, illustrating ongoing engagement with energy and infrastructure initiatives.
