Iowa Communities of Compassion: A ministry of the Christian Culture Community. ICCompassion provides programs and services with a mission to help people move with God’s love from poverty to self-sufficiency with open solutions. Since 2006, ICCompassion has offered the residents of Iowa City a center dedicated to meeting the real needs of the community. In recent years, this ministry has expanded to multiple locations across Iowa. ICCompassion is driven by a passion to seek justice; to empower individuals and families to move beyond the limitations of their circumstances. This calling takes many forms, including the free provision of gas vouchers, bus passes, financial and English classes, and immigration consultation. The initiative of ICCompassion strives to look beyond the surface issues in the community. It sees the potential in the disenfranchised of the region and puts compassion in action.
