We are the third largest non-hazardous solid waste management company in North America. We serve the needs of commercial, industrial and residential customers. In Canada, we acquired our original assets in 2000 and today, BFI Canada serves the needs of the country’s most populous regions across six provinces. In the US, we acquired IESI Corp. in 2005, adding operations in the US south and the US northeast comprising 10 states. In 2010, we acquired Waste Services, Inc. (WSI) and added operations throughout Canada as well as in the state of Florida. BFI Canada, IESI and WSI exist under the corporate name Progressive Waste Solutions, which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol BIN.
