Illinois Business Council is a higher education–focused organization established in 1973 to serve the Gies College of Business. Based in Champaign, Illinois, it operates as a large student-led body composed of undergraduates from diverse majors who share an interest in business. The council supports its members by planning events that are organized by its Leadership Team and organized around three pillars: professional, service, and social, with the aim of helping members achieve their goals and build a lifelong professional network. While rooted in the university setting, the group functions as a broad campus resource, connecting students to opportunities and networks within the Illinois business community.
