The Illinois Manufacturers' Association is a nonprofit organization that serves as the oldest and largest state-level manufacturing association in the United States. It represents more than 4,000 manufacturers and positions itself as the Voice of Manufacturing in Illinois. Based in Hinsdale, Illinois, the association has operated since 1893 with a mission to strengthen the economic, social, environmental and governmental conditions for manufacturing and allied enterprises in Illinois to enlarge the business base and increase employment opportunities. The organization pursues a pro-business legislative agenda and seeks to mobilize its membership to advocate for policies aligned with the interests of Illinois manufacturers. In 2026, the IMA launched a statewide initiative to recognize companies that have operated in Illinois for 100 years or more, reflecting its role in highlighting long-standing contributions to the state's economy. The association also engages in events and leadership activities, including hosting its annual luncheon and appointing Kara Demirjian Huss as Chair of the Board in December 2025.
