The Illinois Soybean Association operates through two linked programs—a checkoff and a membership network—serving Illinois soybean farmers. The checkoff funds market development, production improvements, and government relations, while the Illinois Soybean Growers membership program and its PAC advocate for legislative outcomes favorable to farmers at local, state, and national levels. ISA centers its work on promotion, advocacy, research, and education to help farmers stay profitable now and for future generations. Based in Bloomington, Illinois, the organization represents more than 43,000 soybean farmers. Its activities focus on policy engagement, industry partnerships, and educational initiatives within farming communities. In 2025, ISA named Kevin KJ Johnson as director of government relations and strategy to guide its advocacy and strategic efforts.
