First mooted by then Finance Minister Dr. Richard Hu, the Investment Management Association of Singapore ("IMAS") was formed with the mission to lead the development of the investment management industry by fostering high standards of professionalism among practitioners and raising awareness and interest in the industry. 

To realise the above, our objectives are:

-	To act as a forum for members to discuss industry-related matters
-	To serve as a collective voice on behalf of our members
-	To continuously improve standards of research and deepen fund management expertise in Singapore
-	To promote best practices among members in their business conduct
-	To educate the public on investing and the industry


Our diverse members comprise of both global and local entities, including fund houses, securities servicing specialists, law firms, accounting firms, consultancies and other institutions who have a stake in the investment management industry or who are part of the larger Investments value chain. 

As the intermediary between stakeholders, IMAS ultimately strives to steadily promote and expand the investment and fund management industry in Singapore.
