Indiana Daily Student is a student-run newspaper based in Bloomington, Indiana, and part of IU Student Media, Indiana University's self-supporting auxiliary unit. Its history traces back to 1867 as the Indiana Student, which became the Indiana Daily Student in 1899, and it also oversees the Arbutus yearbook, first published in 1893. Today the IDS reaches more than 45,000 readers on campus and has an online audience of more than 230,000 unique users, with the editor-in-chief holding final editorial authority.

IDS and its publications, Inside Magazine and Arbutus, have earned national recognition, including National Pacemaker Awards and National Gold Crown Awards. In 2022, IDSnews was recognized as the best college media outlet and best newspaper of the year. In October 2022, IDSnews partnered with IUSTV and WIUX News to broaden election coverage.
