Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indianapolis Children's Choir operates in the performing arts by combining music education with choral performance for young singers. Its mission is to provide quality music education and pursue the highest level of artistic excellence in choral music. As a performing and educational arts institution, ICC emphasizes personal and social growth, diversity and accessibility, and creative achievement among participants, families, and audiences.

Its programs target children and their families, aiming to be accessible to diverse religious, racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds while engaging audiences with performances. Within the industry, ICC is a smaller organization in the performing arts, seeking leadership in local choral education and performance with potential broader recognition. In November 2023, ICC announced a partnership with the Indiana Dance Ensemble, reflecting collaboration with other arts organizations in the region.
