Industrial Electric Supply (IES) was founded in 1977, and has been a privately-owned full line Electrical Distributor servicing the Chicagoland Area. IES is a distributor of quality electrical products and material to the utility, construction, commercial, and industrial markets. It is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and a Women Business Enterprise (WBE).  

The newly reorganized company will continue to be a full-service wholesale electrical distributor for complete lines of electrical, lighting, industrial, data and telecommunications networking products, wire and cable, tools and safety equipment. Their quality electrical products and material service the utility, construction, commercial, and industrial markets throughout the Chicagoland Area.

IES is now certified as a Women/Minority Business Enterprise (“W/MBE”) through the Illinois Department of Central Management Offices, Cook County, the City of Chicago and IL-UCP. Most recently, IES obtained its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (“DBE”) certificate through its host agency, Metra. Participating agencies include, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the City of Chicago, the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra, and Pace.
