A pioneer in electromagnetic NDT technologies, Innospection is the sole operator of the Magnetic Eddy Current (MEC) method. This unique method allows for continuous corrosion mapping and therefore can reach a greater inspection area, offering a higher probability of detection of defects and enhanced asset data. Both the MEC and Pulsed Eddy Current Testing (PECT) methods can scan through coatings such as Neoprene and Monal Clad meaning less surface preparation and minimal operational disruption for a more economic inspection solution. Innospection’s fleet of inspection tools are readily adaptable to include attachments such as HD cameras for visual inspection, Ultrasonic Testing (UT) sensors for absolute wall thickness mapping and cleaning tools for simultaneous cleaning and inspection within a single deployment. The in-house R&D function is committed to bringing innovation to the NDT industry and have developed all MEC and PEC tools to have robotic applications, making it is easier to overcome complex inspection challenges such as harsh environments and non-piggable pipelines.
