Inserm Transfert is the private subsidiary of the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm), focused on value creation and technology transfer in life sciences and human health. Located at 7 Paris Biopark Paris, Île-de-france 75013 France, it employs 51-200 people and operates in the biotechnology research industry. It manages the promotion and transfer of knowledge from Inserm research laboratories to the industrial world, covering invention disclosure through to industrial partnerships and startup incorporation, under a Public Service Management Contract, and it provides services to set up and manage national, European, and international projects as well as supporting the transfer of clinical research and health data/databases. Since 2000, Inserm Transfert has established funding mechanisms, including an investment fund to finance proofs of concept (2009) and the Inserm Transfert Initiative seed fund (2005), along with a pathway for pre-entrepreneurship since 2017. In May 2024, it entered a partnership with Evotec SE to identify targets and diagnostic/prognostic markers in obesity and metabolic diseases.
