The Institute for Creation Research is a research organization based in Dallas, Texas. For more than fifty years, its scientists have pursued evidence they interpret as refuting evolutionary theory and supporting a biblical account of a recent, special creation. It gathers testimonies from around the world regarding the impact of its work. Operating in the research services sector, the organization has a mid-sized staff. Its work centers on presenting scientific considerations that align with a biblical account of creation, including attention to how the universe and its origins are described. In 1997 the institute launched the RATE project to examine isotopic evidence and the age of the Earth.
