Integrated Rehab Consultants (IRC) is a national, physician-led physiatry group whose board-certified doctors work in concert with primary care physicians, nurses, and therapists at skilled nursing facilities to optimize a patient’s treatment plan and overall care. 

Founded in 2010, IRC was one of the first physiatry groups to partner with skilled nursing facilities (SNFs). Today, we’re the nation’s largest group of physiatrists within a skilled setting. 

We continue to grow and meet the needs of the changing post-acute industry by utilizing a team-based approach to help manage rehab and address issues that most affect skilled nursing facilities: re-admission rates, patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, PDPM, and staff training. Adding this enhanced level of care for rehab patients in a sub-acute setting can rival programs found in inpatient rehab facilities (IRFs).

Our dedicated physiatrists focus on better patient outcomes and provide a highly personalized level of care that patients, their families and the facilities appreciate. This can help facilities differentiate themselves from their competition and provide the competitive advantage needed to attract patients and build lasting relationships with referral sources.

In addition, we can help facilities with staff education geared toward improving clinical outcomes and staying up to date on industry changes, such as Patient Driven Payment Models (PDPM).

With the U.S. 65+ population expected to more than double by 2050, our physiatrists are uniquely prepared for today’s healthcare climate in which payers are cutting costs and increasingly discharging higher acuity patients to skilled nursing facilities for post-acute care.
