International ALERT Academy (IAA) is a technical and vocational training organization based in Big Sandy, Texas. It operates the Air Land Emergency Resource Team program, a post-high-school initiative focused on Bible-centered training and service, aimed at developing practical skills and the attitudes necessary to assist those in need. The academy supports programs such as ALERT Cadet, a home-based effort spanning multiple states and countries to help fathers guide their sons toward biblical manhood, and Quest, a four-week on-campus course each July for young men ages 14-17 to cultivate life skills and a perspective on Biblical manhood. In addition to its core training, IAA has engaged in partnerships related to conflict and gender sensitivity in peace work, evidenced by a collaboration with CEWARN and International Alert in Ethiopia in 2019. The organization positions itself within the technical and vocational training sector, emphasizing faith-based service and character development as its primary value proposition for its target audience of teens, young men, and families seeking faith-guided personal and communal growth.
