The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) is the only association solely dedicated to professionals involved in managing and directing security and safety programs in healthcare organizations. IAHSS members encompass law enforcement, public safety, security, safety and emergency management professionals dedicated to the protection of healthcare facilities worldwide. IAHSS also partners with government agencies and other organizations representing risk managers, emergency managers, engineers, architects, nurses, doctors and other healthcare stakeholders to further patient security and safety.

IAHSS members have created a body of knowledge and four certification programs that meet the needs of today's fast paced and ever changing environment of healthcare security and safety; The Certified Healthcare Security Officer, The Certified Advanced Healthcare Security Officer, The Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor Officer and the Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator Certification. 

Whether your institution is a multi-campus facility, a healthcare system, a smaller hospital,  an extended care facility, or a contracted security company IAHSS offers its members the opportunity to interact with others who share your concerns and have developed innovative responses in the healthcare security and safety profession.
