The International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR) is a mid-sized international development organization with 50 member states, based in Beijing, China. It supports member countries in integrating bamboo and rattan into sustainable development plans and green economy strategies, and it links a global network of government, private sector, and NGO partners to advance this agenda. INBAR promotes innovative uses of bamboo and rattan to improve rural livelihoods, protect the environment, and address climate change, as well as trade and standards issues in the sector.
