International Care Ministries (ICM) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1992 and based in Hong Kong. Its work focuses on assisting the ultra-poor through community-based, holistic approaches in the Philippines, where it partners with local churches in low-income communities to provide training, resources, and support intended to transform lives. Through its efforts, ICM has reached more than 750,000 people across the Visayas and Mindanao, aiming to build resilience and well-being in families and communities. One core component is the four-month Transform program, after which ultrapoor participants report outcomes including a 106% increase in household income (from about 26 to 51 cents per person per day), a 28% decrease in serious illnesses, and a 43% rise in self-worth. In August 2023, a partnership involving ORIX Metro Leasing and Finance Corporation, International Care Ministries, and Rise Against Hunger Philippines was announced to expand community development efforts in the Philippines.
