InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS) is a U.S.-based forum that coordinates the development of information technology standards to support future innovation. Its members include ICT developers, producers, and users who collaborate to establish standards that enable interoperable technologies across sectors such as cloud computing, communications, transportation, and health care. Domestically, INCITS focuses on creating American National Standards and operates through more than 50 technical committees and study groups, while also serving as the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to ISO/IEC JTC 1 for international standards participation.

The organization is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Its membership spans more than 1,700 entities, including companies, universities, consortia, and other groups with a stake in how standards are developed. In 2026, INCITS announced a new project to develop a Framework for Managing Unique Risks from Frontier AI.
