Public Interest Growth ICIJ operates at the intersection of investigative journalism and global transparency advocacy with a track record of cross-border reporting and high-impact storytelling. This suggests strong demand for secure, scalable media partnerships, data collaboration tools, and grant-backed projects to sustain expansive investigations.

Global Network Leverage With a network of over 100 media partners and hundreds of journalists, there are opportunities to offer enterprise collaboration platforms, secure data transfer, and training programs that enhance cross-border cooperation, contributor onboarding, and project management across jurisdictions.

Tech Stack Fit ICIJ relies on cloud and content management ecosystems (AWS, Docker, Drupal, WordPress, Google Workspace). There is potential for advanced security, publishing workflows, site optimization, and compliance tooling tailored for investigative teams handling sensitive information.

Growth and Talent Recent hires and collaborations (Latin America coordinator, new journalists, partnerships) indicate an active capacity-building phase. This opens doors for contractor-based research services, media training, and fellowship or sponsorship programs that align with their expansion.

Funding and Sustainability With substantial revenue and targeted funding, ICIJ appears to invest in capacity and investigations. Opportunities exist to offer grant management solutions, donor analytics, and philanthropic partnership platforms to bolster long-term finance for investigative projects.
