The International Society of Nephrology is a global medical professional society based in Brussels, Belgium. Its mission is to lessen the worldwide burden of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage kidney disease by enhancing the capacity of healthcare professionals through grants, education, and research, and by fostering international collaboration to improve kidney care. 

It brings together thousands of professional members from more than 160 countries, creating an international network for timely scientific exchange among clinicians and researchers involved in preventing and treating kidney disease. It partners with more than 100 national and regional societies, extending its reach to tens of thousands of health professionals worldwide. In March 2026, ISN launched the IgA Nephropathy Curriculum to provide practice-focused guidance and help clinicians translate emerging evidence into care.
